On 19th of October, the managers from Social Reintegration Department of Bistrita Penitentiary participated at Gherla Penitentiary, to the regional meeting for analysing the educational and psychosocial activity developed by prisons from North-West region of Romania.

It was presented a special material with the most innovative aspects of the project (the social cooperatives model, the therapeutic community, collaboration with NGO`s and economical agents that can empower social reintegration of inmates).

The audience was positively impressed by the overall presentation, asking details about the outcomes and the possibility of initiating collaboration with international partners with whom to develop projects that can improve the recuperative intervention towards inmates.

The presentation was sent to all the participants (the managers of Social Reintegration Dpt. from five prisons), in order to be disseminated to their co-workers.

The meeting aimed at obtaining information on how the social reintegration activities can be diversified and optimized and the participants agreed on ways to improve the impact and efficiency of programs dedicated to the social reintegration of detainees by updating the contents of the existing ones, work together to initiate changes not only to national level, but to an international one.
